Screen monitoring: turning it on, and what staff see
Four modes, from off to a desktop app. It starts off, and staff are always told.

Choose a mode
You’re asked once in the setup wizard, and can change it any time in Monitoring → Settings:
- Off — no screenshots are taken, and nobody is asked to share their screen.
- In the browser — nothing to install. When someone clocks in, they are asked to share their screen, and a screenshot is taken every few minutes. They see a “sharing” bar in the browser and can stop it.
- Desktop app — everyone installs the Kyvora Desk app (Windows and Mac). It records which apps are used, real idle time and screenshots, with no share prompt. It shows an icon while it runs, and typed text is never recorded.
- Both — people with the desktop app use it; everyone else shares their screen in the browser. Useful while the app is being rolled out.
Tell your team
Staff are always told, and the browser mode asks each person before sharing starts. It’s still good practice to explain why before you turn it on.
