Run payroll for the month
From attendance and leave to finalised pay, bank file and payslips.
Who: People allowed to manage payroll (the owner and Admins by default).
Before your first run
- Each person needs a monthly salary on their record, and Include in payroll switched on.
- Fill in PF, ESI and bank details on each person’s profile, under Statutory & compliance. The run lists anyone missing them.
- Check the salary structure on the Salary Components tab.
Start the run
Go to Payroll → Payroll Run, pick the month and press Process payroll.
Work through the six steps
- Leaves, Attendance & Daily Wages — leave taken, days without attendance (loss of pay) and any overrides.
- New Joinees & Exits — part-month pay for joiners and leavers, and full & final settlements.
- Bonus, Salary Revisions & Overtime.
- Reimbursement, Adhoc Payment, Deduction — including approved expense claims paid through payroll.
- Salaries on Hold & Arrears.
- Override (PF, PT, ESI, TDS, LWF) — for the rare case the calculated figure needs changing.
Review and finalise
Check the net salary review, then finalise the cycle. Anyone left out of the cycle is listed with the reason, so nobody is missed by accident.
Pay and publish payslips
On Pay & Payslips, download the bank file (CSV or Excel) for your bank’s portal, mark the salary as released, then use Payslip Release to publish payslips. Your team sees them under Pay Slips.
